The Opportunity
OmaApply connects international students with Finnish higher education institutions, including Satakunta University of Applied Sciences (SAMK) and Kajaani University of Applied Sciences (KAMK). As we grow our presence across student markets, we are looking for a Social Media Marketing Intern to help build OmaApply's brand visibility, create content, and support our recruitment and counseling teams across all active markets.
This is a part-time, remote internship designed for students and early-career marketers who want real, hands-on experience in international education marketing, not busywork.

What You'll Be Doing
Content Creation
• Plan, write, and design social media content (posts, reels, carousels) for LinkedIn, Instagram, Tik-Tok and Facebook.
• Support on-camera content and video edits featuring OmaApply's counselors and country managers.
• Adapt content across OmaApply's active markets, keeping messaging consistent with brand guidelines.

Research and Trends
• Research trending formats, hashtags, and audience behavior relevant to international education.
• Track competitor and other student recruitment platforms and flag relevant insights.

Campaign Support
• Assist with planned social media campaigns, including scheduling and basic performance tracking.
• Support virtual recruitment events, webinars, and information sessions with promotional content.
• Coordinate with country managers and counselors to source student stories and testimonials.

Reporting
• Maintain a simple content calendar and track basic engagement metrics.
• Share a short progress summary at the end of each month.

What You Bring to the Table
• Currently a student, recent graduate, or early-career professional with an interest in digital marketing, communications, or international education.
• Comfortable writing and communicating in English.
• Some familiarity with Instagram, LinkedIn, Canva, or basic video editing tools.
• Reliable and able to commit part-time hours consistently across the full six months, this is not a one-off content-creation gig.
• Comfortable appearing on camera or coordinating with people who do.

Note: this internship is unpaid. Recognition (certificate and recommendation letter) is milestone-based and tied to actual deliverables, not automatic for time served.
